The last event just went by and it's already time to announce the next one. Because of the upcoming new year it will be a bit earlier in the month. The next 'Coding for Fun' event will be on SUNDAY the 18th of january 2009. Despite a lower turnout last time the project list was again amazing. This just shows that we have a lot of talented contributors in the community and every event promises something interesting for you. The Quadcopter Group didn't quite get ready for flight experiments, but they are close, and this time, i am sure they will be ready. Also, as a special guest we hope to have a visitor from red hat singapore hopefully joining us for lunch and the early afternoon. Also last month we started picking a feature project for the event. This means that one project will be selected to have a longer (30 minutes) introduction in order to invite people to contribute. So if you have a project that is looking for contributors, "Coding for Fun" is the place to present it! "Coding for Fun" aims to bring together developers and users of Free Software in an informal way to encourage them to share their projects and experience. You may work on your own project or join others. You could also give a short presentation or demo of your current work and maybe get some feedback and suggestions. If you would like to learn about Free Software development, this is the right place. Here you can find out how you can contribute to the Free Software community not only as a programmer, but also in many other ways.
